IDT Solution

IDT designed and deployed a private-by-design AI-powered employee assistance chatbot using AWS-native services. Selected folders from the Synology NAS are securely replicated to Amazon S3 using Synology Cloud Sync, creating a controlled, mirrored dataset within the AWS account owned and managed by New Angle Systems.

The chatbot leverages Amazon Q Business to provide natural-language search, summarization, and task guidance across the synchronized S3 data. Security and governance are enforced through AWS IAM and AWS KMS, with encryption in transit and at rest, along with continuous monitoring. The architecture ensures that the chatbot never accesses the production NAS and that no data is used for external model training.

The solution provides secure, conversational access to a mirrored subset of Synology NAS data synchronized to Amazon S3 within the customer’s AWS environment. Designed as a proof of concept with a clear path to production, the chatbot enables natural-language search, summarization, and task guidance—without touching production NAS systems or exposing data beyond the customer’s AWS tenant.
