IDT Solution
IDT developed a proof-of-concept unified CI/CD framework that uses one orchestrator to oversee the full lifecycle of both infrastructure and applications. Metadata annotations were introduced into existing Terraform modules, enabling domain-based targeting and orchestration control without the need for refactoring.
This structure supported selective apply/skip logic, allowing deployments to be segmented by application domain or cluster group. Teams gained consistent visibility into deployment flows and greater flexibility. Orchestrator options considered included GitHub Actions, Buildkite, Jenkins, and Octopus Deploy—allowing alignment with SavvyMoney’s internal tools and preferences.
